He is so beautiful, and beloved...

I wonder if we have time to appreciate our life. Not just to live it as we do each day; doing the routine, expected things every time but I am wondering if we were aware of the fact that if we are not lying in a hospital bed somewhere, we are the most fortunate person on earth right now.

You are most privileged when you are able to walk, talk and see the world, just doing what you are doing right now is indeed a cause for joy and celebration.

Because you will never know. Life has been known to be so unpredictable; no matter how much you have prepared for eventualities, it could still catch you unaware and unguarded. It could even hit you with such sudden ferocity that not only paralyzes you but changes the world completely for you and those around you.

What is the lesson from this, you may ask. The lesson is simple:

PAUSE every now and then to appreciate life. Appreciate you and the moment you are in. Say thanks to God that you are there at that particular moment and not anywhere on a hospital bed.

Smile. Sing. Laugh. Be joyful. Be happy. Live life. But most of all, love.

See the people around you with love. See the goodness and their perfection. Accept them because they are beautiful creations of a loving God.

When you do that, you are almost as perfect as Mahmoud.

A beautiful young man.
Beloved by his friends and those who know him.
Treasured by his parents, his brother and sister.

A beautiful, beautiful young man.
Gifted by God and beloved by all.
We love you.
Get well soon ok...

  2. Thanks Beshoy. You know Mahmoud reminds me of the most precious gift of all, love. In our most vulnerable moments, family and friends are love personified.
