You still sit there.

It doesn't seem right,
When you think about how privileged you are,
Sitting there, in front of your computer screen;
your only concern are the words coming out from your head,
or those that couldn't seem to come through,

while,

somewhere in the world,
there are troubled souls:
the unrest in Egypt, and other parts of the Middle East.
Afghanistan.
Palestine.
Somalia.
Myanmar.

The boat people.
Forest Fires in the USA.
and more.

Too much strife in the world.
But you are not doing anything about it.

You still sit there,
in front of your computer screen.
Waging your own private wars:
Why do I still feel I am losing on something?
Why do I still feel I am not doing enough?
Love enough?
Care enough?
Back and forth, back and forth.
and you are still there, immobile.

What are these compared to what is happening around the world?

It doesn't seem right,
Being privileged.
Sitting there in front of your computer screen,
because the only thing which looks slightly threatening,
is your own restlessness
of not doing anything.
