Stay true to yourself.

Just yesterday I wrote about the need to write and tell your life story. How meaningful it would be to have a part to play in the grandeur scheme of the universe. Even if you feel that your life is insignificant; i.e. how the story of your life may not even fill the full page in the book of life--in comparison to others that is, it stands to reason that you deserve a mention. We do occasionally under-value our own worth, and because I too do feel that pretty much for most of my life, I struggle with which part of my life could effect that much difference anyway. I wonder if it matters.

You see, there are many of us who are bystanders to the going-on in the world. Watching the big players affecting change around us, being sucked in unrelentingly to the forces beyond our control. In some circumstances, I find that quite honorable when to do so is to keep the peace. Sometimes, it is necessary just in order for the change to happen. So even if you are not directly responsible for the change, you had an influence over the consequence. You had mattered.

We are the little people that can effect change. Unwittingly, by being who we are:

Stay true to yourself,
Believe in the significance of your existence.
Sometimes when you doubt yourself,
Remember that blank page on the book of life,
Is waiting to be written.

It is your story.
No one deserves to be there but you.
So live it.
